Just got my first 1000 credits, thought I\'d say hello!

So i was sat rendering some basic stills using vray when i noticed the distributed rendering feature it has and thought \'wouldnt it be great if there were a community of designers that could help render each others projects, kinda like that folding@home ive heard so much about?\' - turns out you guys had the idea more than 3 years before me ><

Ive read around these forums a bit now and i love the idea behind this project, i\'m surprised its not more popular/well known.
As for the lack of support for commercial rendering applications, its a shame that the companies aren\'t embracing projects like this and helping out, but i can see the problems involved - so with that, i\'m off to go and learn blender!

I\'m impressed with the available computing power but not that impressed with the submitted projects.

agreed, but i guess as it has be mainly testing so far the quality of the submitted projects can only improve in beta :D maybe we need to go and invade a blender forum and coax them over here!

The \"quality\" of the sessions has nothing to do with the project overall, but rather the lack of submissions!

i was suggesting that as the projects\' functionality and reliability improve, so too will its userbase and submissions.
