Are you thinking about the panorama feature in Blender? Unfortunately the border rendering that we use to inform Blender about what part of the image to render in each workunit interferes with this particular setting.

so what is the highest field of view that burp support in degress?

172.85 degrees.
But you can mimic the use of the panorama button by using more cameras mounted on the same simple node with different horizontal rotations and then rendering X times instead (one for each camera). These can then be combined into a panorama as a postprocessing effect. This is probably a better way of doing it since using the FoV of 172.85 makes the image look rather sick.

I\'ve seen the technique used by Pixar for a very nice presentation involving 4 ceiling mounted high-resolution projectors.

:)
cubic panoramas can be done six images looking up, down, left, right, front, back
with a camera field of view 90 degrees
jumping for joy :)
