Is it posible to create a subscribe feature in these forums? as I am looking for updates to specific threads the e-mail notification system would be nice.

This is something I am willing to make a module in php for, and you can fit it to the site, Istvan.

Check the top of the thread for the link called \"Subscribe to this thread\".

Now that I\'m becoming more learned about the BURP system, after reading many many threads I would like to start playing a more active role in these message boards. Is there a way for me to automatically subscribe to every thread so that I can be notified about every post? I figure either I can learn, or teach, both of which I enjoy very much.

~This would be like a moderation-style feature, where moderators are notified about every post - Istvan.

To answer your question, no I don\'t think so.
But... more active?

SELECT count(post.id) as posts, name FROM `post` JOIN user on user.id=post.user where post.id > 8910 group by post.user order by posts desc limit 5
(Postcount since the start of this thread)

Istvan, you\'re already as active as I am on our team board - I have a post per day average about 7,5. :-D
I never will reach that here, I have only a bit experience with Blender and lack of time to learn more. ;-)
So you\'re already doing pretty good. :-)

Indeed I do try to be an active member, but I am only subscribed to some threads. For me to post to the other therads, I have to open up each topic manually and from there check to see if there is a new post/thread, so that is the feature I\'m trying to suggest.

~for the few of us who don\'t have lives ;-)

Where is the edit post button? I don\'t see it in some of the topic areas...

anyhoo I just wanted to make sure that my last comment of \'for those of us witout lives\' was directed at me, not anyone else.

[edit] but THAT post has the edit button... does it go away once someone reads the post?

Every post has an edit limit of one hour.
That\'s on all BOINC forums AFAIK.
Only mods and admins can edit anytime.
