Blender doesn't stop when task switches occur - Linux client

This was posted earlier, but doesn't appear in the Known Problems list that I just looked at... I've been noticing that BOINC will try to switch tasks running on one of my Linux boxes that just got a few tasks from session 1042. When the task switch happens, the blender process isn't stopped, so there's a background process that is contending with the running tasks. If I stop BOINC on the whole machine, all the processes terminate correctly, but not if a task switch happens. Since there are short deadlines for BURP, BOINC seems to like to swap things around and start/stop tasks frequently. Currently running BOINC client v6.10.56 on 64bit Ubuntu Linux on a quad 6600 CPU.
