Message 11052 - Posted: 3 Oct 2011, 12:47:28 UTC

I keep on getting this message:

3/10/2011 11:43:35 PM | BURP | Message from server: SunflowerBlender needs 217.37MB more disk space. You currently have 22433.63 MB available and it needs 22651.00 MB.

I don't seem to be able to change the BOINC settings to make it happy. I've allow BOINC to use 90% of the disk, leave 0.1 Gb free and everything I delete just adds to the amount of space not available to BOINC.

Any suggestions?

How much free space do you have? How much space do you have in total?

According to BOINC I have:
38.1 used by BOINC
21.9 free and available to BOINC
12.40 free and not available to BOINC
171.65 used by other programs

My preferences are:
Use at most 60Gb in total
Leave at lease 0.10 Gb free
Use at most 90% of the dis
...
Use at most 90% of the swap file

My computer reports I have 34Gb free of 244Gb.

My BOINC version is 6.12.34 (x64)

Every time I free some space the free and not available figure increases. The preferences don't seem to be making any difference. It's very confusing and means that I can't get any BURP work.

Something about those numbers doesn't exactly add up, but here you have it:
90% - (244-34)/244) = 4% disk space left for BOINC, which is not enough for 22GB workunits.

You're not hitting the "leave at least X free"-limit but the "use at most Y%"-limit.
