Fresh install of BOINC client on both OSX 10.8 and Windows 8
Attempting to add a a new project, entering the account manager (burp.renterfarming.net),
Signing in, fails in the end.

I get the error: Failed to add Account manager

Ideas?

You obviously tried to add BURP as an account manager to the client.
That doesn't work, you need to add it as a project.

Account managers are websites that allow you to control signups for projects on multiple computers simultaneously. You sign up on the account manager and then use the account manager to add projects.

Alternatively, if you don't have 100 computers or 100 projects you want to manage, you can just sign up for BURP directly by adding it as a project instead.
