I\'m running Burp on linux. I looked through my results and noticed that my computer always claimed the least credit among those that did the same work unit. The credits claimed by other linux users were similar to what I claimed but Windows users claims were usually much higher.
These are my results:
An example for a specific work unit:
(My computer is 9314)
Here a gentoo user\'s claim is similar to mine:
Now I don\'t really care about the credits that much but if others are, the effect is that Windows users are penalised if they share a work unit with a linux user and Linux users get less credit.
Obviously the credit problem is not urgent. I can\'t wait until burp is ready to accept projects! I\'m looking forward to see what people with more talent will be able to create with this system.
I didn\'t test the suspend/resume capability of Burp under linux. Other projects like Seti and Einstein already had problems suspending (on my machine at least) Maybe the 5.2 release of the BOINC client will fix this.
