Here are 2 vector logos I generated from the tiny pixelated icon of CATS using Inkscape, which I then tweaked a little : I use the smooth one as the icon for the java applet now. What do you think ? Should I make some more improvements ? https://caetano-veyssieres.com |

Hehe, that's awesome! Really like the smooth one. How would you feel about open-sourcing it under GPL so that it can be shipped with CATS? Unfortunately we can't set an icon on the actual JAR file as far as I know, but the window can have higher resolution icons than the tiny one currently included and it will be used for displaying the icon in the task bar and during alt+tab or similar situations. |

Of course, how do I apply a GPL licence on it ? I found this how to on gnu.org but it's for programs. https://caetano-veyssieres.com |

There's no big ceremony (unfortunately, that could actually be awesome), you just kinda say/post "It's GPL" and then it is. I'll see if I can fit it into the next release of CATS - no guarantees! |

Well then it's GPL. Would be cool if there was a way to embed a licence signature in the file. https://caetano-veyssieres.com |

The link for the smooth version died for some reason, so here it is again : https://caetano-veyssieres.com |

Thanks! The new icon was included into the CATS source as of revision 1963 and it is up to the individual platforms how to support it. On Windows this means that Alt+Tabbing will show a higher resolution icon, some linux platforms will show the icon as an overlay when using the "expose" feature of their application switching method etc. The plan is to also use the new smooth icon in the splash screen, on the "about" help option and on the forum download page together with the next release of CATS. |

I just noticed your reply. That's great ! Thanks for using it. I just downloaded it but didn't see the logo on my Linux Manjaro KDE neither in the task bar nor with Alt+tab nor any other way. Is it implemented yet or does it not work on my distro ? https://caetano-veyssieres.com |
