I just updated to the new client and it will not let me get any WU\'s. When I click on update, I get the message RPC succeeded [Server version 509]. Then nothing. So, be ware to all. When life is to big to tackle, kick it in the shins. |

Are you running more projects? If you are, maybe the Long Term Debt of BURP is negative enough to stop the manager from downloading more WU. You can view the debts with This Program ;-) ![]() Professor Desty Nova Researching Karma the Hard way |

some line before the server message you should find lines like this: 26/03/2007 21:20:12|BURP|Sending scheduler request: To report completed tasks or 26/03/2007 19:43:46|BURP|Requesting 16156 seconds of new work or (when manually updating) 26/03/2007 21:26:22|BURP|(not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks) What do you get? |

Fine. so boinc thinks somehow there is enough work availible.(Means as well the problem is the client and definitivly not the burp server). What is the status of the project on the Projects Tab (the last column). It should be blank, but maybe you have something like \"Won\'t get new tasks\", or \"suspended by user\". If there is nothing we might need to switch on some more debugging, and you ned to restart boinc. But I\'m not very familiar with the debugging flags. Let\'s do that later |

Fine. I feel like an idiot. I should have checked the resume/suspend button. Oops. Thanks for helping me out though. When life is to big to tackle, kick it in the shins. |

Ok, I have one more question. It says that you can tell BOINC not to use more than x% of the processor. I set it at no more that 50%. However, blender is floating around 97%. Any thoughts? When life is to big to tackle, kick it in the shins. |

Any thoughts? hmmmm... has BOINC even got that amount of control over blender? Or is that persentage just for the BOINC application, not the apps that spawn from it? |

CPU throttling is not supported yet for BURP - and will only be supported for the Windows client (unless I manage to cook up something very clever for the POSIX ones as well...). |

(unless I manage to cook up something very clever for the POSIX ones as well...). ... which I think I just did. Requires quite a rewrite of the code, though, so no guarantees on when it will be included. |
