Can somebody have a look at these results? Looks like there is a problem. I can\'t believe that there is a computer able to correctly finish those WU\'s in less than a second.
Some weeks ago the same problem occured on Renderfarm@Home, wrecking a session. I hope the validator here works better...

That would be me... I was running BOINC under Wine on Linux but it seems that doing it this way means it is unable to get the runtime of the spawned threads so the total runtime is ~0 sec. This is somewhat odd as the boincmgr does give an estimated completion time of ~1hr:20 so some sort of timing is going on. I\'ve shut it down as it seems to be causing grief.

It seems it does in fact create correct results, the timer is just way off for some reason.
On a sidenote: The timer issue is being looked into and is to be fixed in the next version of the client-side code.

[Edit:] Yeah, Wine would explain it.

It certainly seemed to be taking the \"proper\" amount of walltime and generating proper images, just fibbing about the cputime taken. While I\'d like to contribute (and there\'s no current linux client), I\'ve no wish to stuff things up..

Is the problem in Wine or in BOINC ? There were a lot of messages along the lines of (paraphrased since I don\'t have the logs on this machine) \'NTThreadImplementation: cannot get usertime or kernel time of subthreads\'
which I assumed were a part of Wine they hadn\'t got round to implementing yet.

I think it\'s in Wine. This causes the client to only report time spent inside the controller (which is very little).

So is it safe to BURP under Wine (!) or best to steer clear ?

Cheers,
Tim
