Problem: \"When I attach to the project the client states that there is no work for my platform or that my platform isn\'t supported. I\'ve seen or been told that other people run BURP on XXXX. What is going on and how do I get it working?\" Example message output: Sat 20 May 2006 02:12:23 PM UTC|BURP|Message from server: platform \'amiga-unknown-aos\' not found Answer: BURP does not officially support any of the following platforms and there are currently no plans to add support for these during alpha-testing. FreeBSD NetBSD OpenBSD BSD Solaris AmigaOS Irix BeOS QNX RiscOS WinCE Even though none of these platforms are officially supported there\'s really no reason why our client shouldn\'t be able to run on them. Feel very free to checkout our code from \"Help us code\" and have a go at compiling it for the platform of your choice. Official support for some of these platforms may be added at some point. |

I will try to port it to HP-UX, Solaris, FreeBSD and eventualy OpenBSD and NetBSD and make the binaries public, if I had success. Are there some peoples, which are interested in these ports ? |

I will try to port it to HP-UX, Solaris, FreeBSD and eventualy OpenBSD and NetBSD and make the binaries public, if I had success. As I have stated in the other threads... Due the discusion of rendering for profit, I have decided not to continue my porting work. |

I\'m sorry to hear that mere discussion (by people who don\'t have the final say) would set you to such a hard-line course of action... Hopefully, there are other qualified individuals out there who might be interested in doing this work for the project. Click here to see My Detailed BOINC Stats ![]() |

I don't know much about compiling, coding, source-code, etc. but how about BURP for Android on ARM or x86 ? MilkyWay@Home supposedly works. http://nativeboinc.org/site/uncat/downloads by the way here an updated link to "help us code" http://development.burp.renderfarming.net/projects/burp/wiki/How_to_download_the_code |

There is no reason why it shouldn't work on recent ARMs as well. By NativeBOINC you are specifically talking about Android, though, and those are typically quite memory limited (but again, there is no reason why it shouldn't work). |
