Hi all: U am running boinc 5.9.3. burp w/ blender 4.50 and several session 368 wu\'s. I notice that one stops running before being completed and another starts - this happens over and over. In the task manager there are several versions of blender_4.50_windows_intelx86.exe listed at the same time.

Did you have the problem before using 5.9.3?
(Can you downgrade and check if the same is true for the last official?)

It is normal you have inactive, but started sessions still in memory.
Remember there is no support for checkpoints to disk, so if boinc removes the exe from memory you would need to start again from the beginning.

I have another problem with this session. The progress go up (to about 27 %) and then down (0.002 %/sec). After 2:43 min I am on 10.250% and still decreasing...

I\'m having a strange thing happen on both my dual cores. I am running BOINC 5.9.0 on both. Right now BURP and Primgrid are running, but instead of the each getting their own core like normal, they are sharing one. It had done this before on my other dual core, so i tried running only BURP, but another strange thing happend. Where Boinc would say i had two BURP Wus crunching, and there were two Blenders in the memory, but only one was crunching.

Here\'s a screenshot of one of the problems

Any ideas on how to fix this? Do i need to upgrade my BOINC client?

They call it a \"Developmental version (MAY BE UNSTABLE - USE ONLY FOR TESTING)\" for a reason, go back to their stable version, currently 5.8.16 and those problems should be gone. As for the percentage complete being fluctuating that is a known bug in the new version of burp.

Actually 5.9.0 was never released as an alpha build. We went right from the stable release in the 5.8.x line to 5.9.3.

I think 5.9.0 was a custom build by crunch3r.

in the end I killed my wu, as it was successful completed by others, while I\'ve only been at 20% or so. plus the credit awarded would have been VERY small if compared to what I can get on all other projects. I still think there is something wrong with the credit system here.

The other thing is that BURP kept staying and using all my CPU resources, even after other projects took over; a problem that I experienced several times with BURP.

I am out for now, waiting for better applications and credit granting.
