I don\'t have any problems, too.
But others seem to have some: Look here

Hi all: Final results: 4 out of 20 completed normally (20%) and 16 with computational errors (80%).

I have a different problem with session 449. I have successfully completed two work units but they took a long time to complete (over 5 hours for the second one). I have 10 session 449 work units I\'ve been given 24 hours to complete all 10. The current group is due by 7:11 AM tomorrow so I won\'t complete them all by the deadline. I can take care of that by aborting the ones that already have three successful units completed and finish the others. However, ten work units at one time is a lot, especially when they take a long time to complete.

How can I limit the number of work units I receive? I don\'t see that as an option in BURP or BOINC preferences. Also, why are the deadlines so short for work units as large as the ones in session 449?

hi alan, i change the settings
\"Computer is connected to the Internet about every\"in the account settings > network usage one time, and get 10 or 12 huge wu´s.
so i change to 0.1 per day and recive 1 or 2 wu´s.
but i dont remember the default.
try out. somebody nows more ?

ps.
449 no errors with linux client 8.4.11

.01 days is the default I believe.

I\'m trying to figure out if my current WU restarted at a checkpoint or not. Stupid computer crashed while BURP was running. When I restarted BOINC, the WU that was running reset the CPU time but the percent complete stayed consistent.

If it ends up validating, there are going to be some extremely unhappy people in the quorum with me. It was almost 8 hours in and 87% done. If it does validate, CPU time is going to be grossly under reported.

Oh well. That would be the fun of an alpha project :)

Meh.

Never mind. Looks like shortly after I posted that message percent complete dropped back down to zero.

It\'s just over 3.5 hours in and a hair over 50% complete.

Ugh. This stupid WU is determined to drive me crazy.

It\'s taking less time than it did before my computer decided to reboot itself. It had the crazy backwards progress (which no longer surprises me as I know why it does it). And it\'s at 7 hours and 103%.

I guess it wants extra credit :)

It\'s also kind of high on memory usage. 195460K (and slowly growing) of memory according to Task Manager. Surprisingly, the computer doesn\'t feel sluggish (with Firefox and BlogDesk open as well) even though it only has 1 stick of 512 installed (and 32 of that is shared with video).

I\'ll let it run. As I said before, this is the fun of alpha stage projects.

[edit]It just fell back to 93% at 7:05 and continues to go backwards. Memory usage dropped as well to 185106K.[/edit]

[edit again]And it finished. Now an even better question is why did it take more than 3 times as long for mine to finish versus an Athlon 2800 (which should be similar to my P4 running at 2.8 - although by raw benchmarks it is faster). And I\'ll really be quiet now too.[/edit again]

now i understand, the 449 frm_0000000009_prt00003.wu:7
goes to zero after a couple of H.
so i delete this and try next wu, maybe this wu has an error.

The problem with the progress percentage going a little bit up and down (and a little bit past 100%) on sessions with motionblur (like this one) is a known problem which will be fixed with the release of the next client (which is scheduled to happen next month).
