I have two wu in the pending credit queue.
Will I get the credit and when?
They look like this:

Result ID . Computer . Sent . Time reported or deadline . Server state . Outcome . Client state . CPU time . claimed credit . granted credit

1563492 . 27314 . 31 Mar 2007 22:08:29 UTC . 31 Mar 2007 22:12:54 UTC . Over . Didn\'t need . Done . 70.33 . --- . ---

1771275 . 27314 . 12 Apr 2007 20:56:00 UTC . 12 Apr 2007 20:58:11 UTC . Over . Didn\'t need . Done . 45.63 . --- . ---

In the pending queue it looks like this:
Pending credit
Result ID - Workunit ID - Claimed credit
1563492 - 300218 - 0.25
1771275 - 338985 - 0.16

I don\'t think you get credit for sessions sent in after the deadline, if the quota has already been met.

You should, but whether it always works or not is a good question

Perhaps that\'s why I have two pesky WUs from April that are still \"pending\" credit?

Just bumping this to NEW status.

I have over 1100 credits pending. ANy Idea when these may get granted? shouldn\'t older WU\'s be given piority to get completed before newer ones are sent out?

It\'s because session 726 is in background mode; see the topic about 726 or the FAQ for more information on background mode and why this happens.

I have over 1100 credits pending.

Just as a ref I have 79.000 pending.

If you like to get them faster (current estimate until the session is finished is
400 days http://burp.boinc.dk/session.php?id=726) we need more/faster cpus.

This is, however a very high estimate. I don\'t know if it was exactly 400 days when your message was posted, but if it was then the estimate has come down one day for every hour between then and now! Maybe you rounded... if it keeps up 1d/h it\'ll be done in 2 weeks, which seems a little soon. In any case, the rate at which the system grants credit should increase as the job nears completion.

actually it was 402 day.
Yes I know this estimate was some days ago(maybe 10 days?) around 550.

I just checked my pending is still increasing.

I assume somewhere around 30% the pending credit will decrease.
As we are now near 8% (BTW 1% today) we should start seeing decreasing pending credit in 2 weeks time?

For the record, the estimate has decreased by 10 more days in the ~9 hours since my last check.
Maybe 2 weeks isn\'t so incredible after all!

We just got the 9%.
So currently a little bit less than 1% per day....

Still, even if 776 is having an issue, shouldn\'t the older WU\'s be resent so that they can get finished and credti granted?

Here is a WU that is waiting to be resent from 1 month ago.

678506

Janus, I know that you were down for about a week so that things are hectic on your end, but an answer please. I\'m now up to 1500 ungranted credits. I have stopped accepting new WU\'s until I see this start to decline. I know that this is good work, and the credits are just for bragging rights, but if they are earned then grant them within a resonable time.

Session 726 is running on the old background render code. This will quite likely be the last session to use the old background code because it builds up large queues of pending credit.

Janus, thank you for the explanation. I will sit back and relax now.

OK, I relaxed for a while, but I have not seen my credit change much in the 3 weeks hence. Can\'t you set the unsent WU\'s to have a higher priority of dispersal so that they can get finished under the rules of completion that are set for this project, 2 or 3 to make a quarum?

Just to clear my mind:

I see that the project 726 is the only project and that it is finally getting spawned out to get these credits finshed. I hope that this keeps up so that the board can get cleaned up and we can all go on to the new work with the better processing algorithem.
