1) Message boards : General talk : TEAM RECRUITMENT THREAD (Message 3738)

Hi all

Come on, I invite all Australians to join a team involved in all BOINC projects, become part of the Australian Alliance and help compete with large teams from other countries.

We have an active web site, forum and great team members. If you\'re intrested please click on the link below.

Why start a new team at the bottom of the pack, when we are already within striking distance of the top 30?
We are already ranked 33 in the world for combined BOINC projects.
We\'re the number 1 Aussie team, with almost 28 million credits overall,
Australian name, for ALL Aussie crunchers,
Team website and forum, and infrastructure available to grow it,
The team is active in all current BOINC projects,
We have members all over the country, and quite a few expats overseas,
Your existing individual credits would not be lost, and
Future credits from all projects will help build a powerful alliance.

Together we could not only be the top Australian team, but well up in the world stats.

Were always open to suggestions and new members. Come and look us over - You can also check out our web site by clicking on the team logo below and also have a look around our forum.

Hi

Whenever BOINC Manager is stopped and restarted in Windows BURP goes back to the beginning and starts again. Not good, waisting too much CPU. Bye Bye BURP till this is fixed.

When I stopped BOINC there was still one Blender.exe running. I waited awhile and stopped the blender.exe running. When I restarted BOINC the two Blenders went from about 35% complete to 0% complete and started processing again.

More waisted time.

Hi

I just looked at the other PC that can run BURP and BOINC shows Two Blender 4.19 running, in Task Manager there are three Blender.exe running and the CPU is devided amonst the three so that they are 44%, 29% and 27%.

What is the 3 rd Blender.exe processing if there are only two blender_4.19_windows_intel86.exe running ???/

I am using BOINC version 4.45

Hi

In fact it is even worse than that. A new Blender.exe started after BOINC was exited and closed. I have XP SP2 on
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation
System Type X86-based PC
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 9 GenuineIntel ~2593 Mhz
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 9 GenuineIntel ~2593 Mhz

and I am looking in Task manager and there are two Blenders running.

I exited BOINC at 2005-06-28 14:51:32 [---] Exit requested by user.

It is now 15:00.

I think it is the BOINC software that is not working in version 4.43. If you look on the Predictor site there is also a lot of posts about this problem.

I have a similiar problem with 4.43, too. The work unit freezes just before it completes; yesterday it was 99,50% done and CPU usage went down to 0%, and the work unit is still 99,50% complete. Maybe restarting BOINC would help.

The site is back up and the project can be addd to BOINC.

> > You can create an account file "account_burp.boinc.dk.xml" in your boinc
> > directory. Then restart the boinc client and it will try to connect the
> > project as it does with each other of your projects.

Hi

Whenever I try and add this project to a computer is seems to add then resets and detaches. If it detaches none of my PC's will be able to get work when it is available.
