Multilayer OpenEXR test

Multilayer OpenEXR test

Description

The first test of multilayer support
When using multilayer OpenEXRs it is possible to render multiple things in the same workunit and do the compositing afterwards on a local machine. This allows artists to tweak their compositing settings without having to re-render everything.

This test renders 11 layers into a single OpenEXR file and was contributed by the user "mats" from Renderfarm.fi

The last two units I had got stuck at the end, 98,021%. Then a message popped up saying: Blender.exe has stopped working. The first five units I did went fine. I've restarted but haven't got a new unit yet.

The runtime I had on a quad-core system was about 40 sec. per WU.

It seems that the current clients on the farm cannot properly handle saving the multilayer EXRs while the ones on the in-house test farm saves them properly. I'll look into why this is.

Did some unknown problem occur?

When changes from the Sunflower clients are merged back into main we will give it another shot and see if it works out. Server-side support for multilayer EXR is ready.
For now the session is just parked here since there's a couple of more important issues on the to-do list first.

The Sunflower client changes have now been merged back into main and the multilayer EXR feature looks like it is working as expected. The still preview and movie previews shown on the website only shows one of the layers but the actual file downloaded with CATS shows them all.

Great news, time to fully empty the queue finally?
