Postprocessing test

Postprocessing test

Description

Test of how to use advanced postprocessing effects with BURP
Using advanced postprocessing effects (for instance from Blender) together with BURP may pose a list of issues. For instance some effects utilize pixels which are outside a given machine\'s rendering area when a frame is split across multiple machines. This results in an image with clear streaks and lines dividing it (like what happened to session 530):

To avoid this it is possible to delay the postprocessing to a later moment, when your machine has access to the entire frame as well as the scene information. Not all effects may be delayed, though.

This session is a postprocessing test to show that subsurface scattering has issues with distributed rendering.

After session 450 is done, is there a plan to turn these two background sessions back on?

Hi,
it seems that blender locks BOINC at the end of session 559 (just before sending results) - No response from localhost for less of a minute and mouse pointer is unavailable - may be a thread problem.

Under windows vista / boinc 5.10.13 / blender 4.55

Regards

Sleeping sessions are in a sense always \"turned on\", however they have the lowest possible priority (0) so that they won\'t be rendered if there\'s something else on the network.

So to answer your question: Yes this happens automatically.

I\'ve been doing 559 since last night, more than 8 hours ago.
