macro of refractions and reflections
I did some experiments with refraction and this is the first result that seemed worth an animation.
The mesh is very dense because the bodies act as distorting lenses which at moments enlarge portions very much, so that the mesh imperfections become visible, if set at lower levels. This seemed the minimum level to give soft curves even at problematic points.
Octree is at 256; frames rendered fastest with this setting. No mblur. OSA 16 because this has too be smooooooth. No postprocessing planned. However, if the movement seems too fast (the viewer has to be able to savour the movement of the curves), I will submit another version with more frames. I also tried a colourful version, but this one, near black-and-white is much better.
