Genome 25

Genome 25

Description

Balaenoptera musculus (Blue whale)
An animation in which we are going to render Genome 25 found at following site:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/viewer.fcgi?db=nuccoreid=25

Boy was my head growing big on making this animation, but now (a lot thanks to AC) I\'ve finally managed to keep a low RAM requirement despite the fact that there is more than 2000 objects in the entire animation.

In this animation the entire sequence consistant of 422 basepairs has been accurately descriped and inserted in this DNA string.

There are 4 colors:

Green=\"a\"
Red=\"t\"
Blue=\"c\"
Yellow=\"g\"

On a side note it can be mentioned that only a+t or c+g (and vice versa) can form a basepair. Hope you benefited, else more info might come later.

Not to sound pushy or impatience, but whats the deal with the high quality versions of 763? Personally I also think that only a high quality version should be availeable because the quality really suck on the low quality version, but again its only MHO so if anyone feel differently I\'m fine with that to :)

At the moment the preview files available for download here are limited to around 120MB to be able to provide a fair service to everyone given the current service setup.

Several future solutions to the fileserving issue are opening up and will be looked into as the development of the system continues.

You may download the perfect quality version using CATS but please be aware that it is around 4.5GB in size and that your download will be limited to around 50KB/s (again for the reason of fairness).

OK I see. At least it wasn\'t a technical hickup :) Nah I think I\'ll save the system and wait for the future solution, since I guess that eventually a high quality version will come. Also I don\'t know how to make properly compressed movie files, so it really want serve any purpose beside waisting a lot of bandwith, to download the images. Thanks for your answer.

Take care!
