"Waiting to Run" wu resets CPU and Elapsed time see selected Wu on screenshot ![]() i just lost several hours of CPU because of that. Also not finished WUs keep became "waiting" after some time and out of nowhere switch to another BURP WU... I crunch for Ukraine! The best team in DC universe! |

just looked into Task Manager out of 8 "Waiting to Run" WUs and 2 (this is core2duo) running WUs: - there are 5 processes blender.exe and 5 wrappers - 2 currently running processes times correspond to 2 running WU cpu times - 1 WU that was manually suspended, has equal process time (34 min) - 2 processes that were run like 40 mins in BOINC, have 0:00 run time see pic for more info ![]() ps: "Leave app in memory" in BOINC is always "ON" i think these Wus will last forever, suspending and switching around if i'll leave BOINC and unsuspend all manually suspended Wus ;( I crunch for Ukraine! HMM i just looked, WCG wus, that were manually suspended, do not exist in Process List seems like some memory issue (though there is 1.5GB on machine) I crunch for Ukraine! The best team in DC universe! |

out of nowhere, BOINC exited itself, while crunching only BURP wus Machine has 1+GB free ram and 1.5GB swap space What is expected maximum of RAM for 1 WU in current batch? I crunch for Ukraine! The best team in DC universe! |

What is expected maximum of RAM for 1 WU in current batch? Somewhere around 32MiBs This sounds a little strange, BURP isn't supposed to be able to crash BOINC. Are you running the newest version of BOINC for your platform? Is your "switch applications between"-setting set low? |

yes, quite latest, 6.10.37 ... Switch every 30 mins, but it should not switch between WUs of one project anyway i've disabled all CPU projects except BURP this is how it runs after restart... ![]() I crunch for Ukraine! The best team in DC universe! |

Hm... keep in mind that BURP doesn't support checkpointing, so whenever an app is purged from memory it will reset to 0% done. |

i've figured what happened What is expected maximum of RAM for 1 WU in current batch? in new batch it is 275 MB ... ![]() and with boinc 6.x.x advanced scheduler, which keeps switching from WU to WU (as we have very short deadlines here), that's just can eat everything. on a 1,5GB machine, now i've set 3GB swap, will see if this helps I crunch for Ukraine!
