Hi, I'm really new here and I'm REALLY new to blender. I started rendering Big Buck Bunny at Digital 4k a few months ago and I got to Scene 21 of the Peach section and something was wrong. It looked like this ![]() Does anyone know how to fix this? Help would be much appreciated. |

1. What is the problem that you are seeing - you'll have to describe it in more detail as the scaled down screenshot really doesn't show it very clearly. 2. Why re-render BBB in 4k when that is what has been going on here for the past 1.5 years or so? There is a lot of things wrong with the scene files on the BBB DVD. They won't really render properly in any version of Blender. When the Sunflower project is done all the modified scene files will be released as well - along with a Blender version that renders them properly. |

I'd like to render it for archival reasons. I thought my problem was pretty clear, Frank appears to be a lot higher up than usual. I'd just like to know how to fix this one problem since it's been bugging me for a while now. |

Plus I'd like to render it in 4096x2304, which matches up perfectly with my 16:9 monitor. |

Alright. What you describe sounds like a rig parent issue. As mentioned earlier in the thread there are a lot of issues like this in the files. This particular one seems related to the transition from a global space parent (world position) to a local space parent (the hand) just as Frank is grabbed. Something is probably off in the node parent relationship in the version of Blender that you are using. I've also seen the bunny have issues with his chest rig positioning due to a python script not triggering correctly. Funny thing about that one was that as long as you didn't touch the object (i.e. click it in the editor) it would remain fine because the rig positions would not be recomputed. |

So what do I do to fix it? |

Good question. What I did was this:
Alternatively you may want to simply render it with the linux Blender from the DVD. |

I'm REALLY new to Blender so I have no idea what that means. |

Also I don't have a computer with Linux as the operating system, so I guess that's out of the question. |

I can recommend the opensource VirtualBox for all your virtualization needs |

Oh, I didn't think about that. Thanks. |
