Yes it does or I would not have credit, :)
And here is a little animation to keep you entertained while you read this.

Win98SE XP2500+ Boinc v5.8.8

And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

When was the last time you got a work unit?

Just take a look at the session gallery. Last session was sent out on November 1st and I assume everyone got a WU when their CC contacted the project server. Janus told us there won\'t be any more sessions this year but in February we may have the \"End of Pre-Alpha\"-Test(s?) and many many sessions may come available. So stay tuned! ;)

As Janus told us in another thread, the won\'t be any new work for the rest of this year.
I think there will be new work sometime in January, to test the new client software, and then there will be the big \"end of pre Alpha Test\" with lots of WUs to crunch.

when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

Why is it that people think that there has to be work just because there is a project running.

I wonder the same thing. One of the beauties of BOINC is that you may enroll in many projects at once. I have often wondered whether some project just put busy work on their network so they seem active. I am glad BURP respects our CPU time!

BTW, I am sure there is plenty of work available. Programming units may be doled out to available humans.

BADWOLF, just attach to other projects

As for lack of work, well, LHC is in \"fully running\" (or gamma-testing ;) ) status, and i don\'t hear people complaining over there, because it\'s the nature of the processing that they\'re doing, and there are times that they won\'t have work.
They haven\'t had any for ages, i\'d say at least a month or 2, but i wouldn\'t trust my memory, it\'s known to have returned \"client error\" in the past ;)

on that note can anyone tell me of the state of the applications themselves, i\'m running windows by the way, and i\'ve heard in the past the BURP is still having problems with stability and \"taking over\" other slots folders and was just wondering if these had been resolved yet?

I think that is what is getting worked on at the moment to stop the client continuing once it has finished its work units as before it would finish its own WU\'s and the blender program wouldn\'t stop, so it was processing other projects WU\'s and making them fail

Also, the BOINC Daemon now has a fix where if a slot is not cleared, it will not be re-used (at least the fix is supposed to do that).

and what happens if/when all slots are used?
or are they cleared when the core client restarts?

They are created as needed. Generally you will have one per project or one per CPU whichever is greater.

Also got one, but something is wrong with this one.

Result Nr. 94509 on PC Nr. 6872.

Finished and reported back already yesterday, but server lists it still as in progress :( ...
