  • 1. It doesn\'t jump to first unread posts in the threads.
  • 2. Some old threads (older then 7 days) randomly marked that they has new unread posts.
  • 3. No last time when a post was edited.
  • 4. No pages for forum threads, only Next arrow. (see here for example)
  • 5. Profiles are broken. Look at my profile for example (Fatal error: Call to a member function getDatabaseHandler() on a non-object in /usr/burp/boinc/projects/burp/html/inc/domain/User.php on line 29 - this error is in many places of the site)

Status update:

  • Uploading an avatar fails [Fixed]
  • Jump to first unread post doesn\'t jump [fixed]
  • Some old threads randomly marked as unread [not a bug but an effect of a database reset of your visited threads. Threads older than that aren\'t managed at all so they don\'t appear unread]

More fixing is upcomming. Thanks a lot for the focused debugging effort you all have provided - you are the best!
[edit] Editted to test edit timer
[edit2]:
More fixes:

  • No last time when a post was edited. [fixed]
  • No pages for forum threads, only Next arrow. [fixed, now displays pages if needed]
  • Profiles are broken. [Not part of the forum code. Will be fixed as part of the following BURP rewrite. Basicly the getDatabaseHandler() function is disabled at the moment while the forum rewrite is undergoing. This means that no part of the website that used this works at the moment.]

Time to get some sleep here. Thanks again for being very helpfull in this debugging phase.

Another bug(s):

  • Default quotes for replied posts doesn\'t work
  • Reset forum prefs -> Set new settings (check jumps to new posts, add sig image, etc) -> Error:
    Unable to handle request
    missing or bad parameter: forum_low_rating_threshold

Yet another few issues:
- No reply notifications are being sent in subscribed threads.
- Report post image has funny height (ie. will not be displayed on most browsers)

Message 2115 - Posted: 9 Dec 2005, 20:22:33 UTC

This new feature:
30 = If a thread contains more than this number of posts
10 = Only display the first one and this many of the last ones
Does not work.
I have it set to 30/10
On the grow thread which shows a count of 38, I see 34 messages ?

Were some of them unread?

Another few issues:
- Not possible to move threads.
- Code tag doesnt start and end properly
- Some forum sorting settings aren\'t set right, can this be confirmed?

Some with me. I have set params to 10/5. But all posts are here.

[EDIT]
Also this test thread has 44 posts as counted in threads list \"Forum Testing\" but I have manually counted only 40 posts. Some problem with this thread - 7 posts in threads list and only 2 in the thread. Or may be other posts rated negatively? But I have default value -25 for Filter threshold in the forum prefs. Is it possible that all these invisible posts has so big negative rating?
[/EDIT]
[EDIT2]It seems email notifications does not work till now.[/EDIT2]

Message 2144 - Posted: 13 Dec 2005, 15:56:00 UTC

Another few issues that caused inconsistency between actual and observable postcount/threadcount in threads/forums:
- Deleting posts should decrement the postcount in a thread
- Deleting threads should decrement the threadcount in a forum
- Undeleting should increment

Message 2162 - Posted: 13 Dec 2005, 22:16:19 UTC - in response to Message 2155.

Any idea why text sizes randomly get changed around? Sometimes when I view a page, the text is 48pt font, and other times it\'s a readable 10 or 12 (or whatever you use). It\'s different for each page, and (almost) always gets fixed when i refresh the page. Is it a loading error with my computer, or is something not getting passed from somewhere?

Thought you\'d might like to know about this....
