I haven\'t noticed this before, but it seems that ever seems that since session 172 is being rendered a number of new directories are created in the root-dir of the drive I have BOINC installed on.

\\opt\\queue\\frames
\\tmp

creation of the \\opt\\queue\\frames coincides with the start of a new result.
is this supposed to happen?

Yes and no.

Yes, because we still do not do sandboxing correctly (ie. python scripts still think the root is at the real root instead of in the BOINC directory) and no because this isn\'t what we want.
