Janus, I know the server is getting lots of hits, but do you know when can we join the project again? I keep getting the Project is temporaraly Unavailable error.

Hm... you shouldn\'t be getting this error currently - have you restarted BOINC since last time you tried?

what version of BOINC are you using? The latest official is 5.8.11.

I am also getting the same problem. Linux with the latest client.

I have an old version 5.4.9 which I was running, and that was connecting just fine.

i tried the latest official .11 and the beta version .15 for windows, both is giving me the same error. I also tried restarting bionc and the computer several times. I\'ll do a clean install again and see what happens.

I used to be able to connect so i am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my ISP or firewall.

little help, anyone?

Now i\'ve completely uninstalled any trace of older boinc, cleared out the program file/boinc directory, and re-installed 5.8.11 again: still the same error:

my get_project_config.xml:
<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"ISO-8859-1\" ?>
<project_config>
    <name>BURP</name>
<br />
<b>Fatal error</b>:  Call to undefined function project_is_stopped() in <b>/mnt/root2/burp/boinc/projects/burp/html/user/get_project_config.php</b> on line <b>20</b><br />

sorry to bump my own thread again, but I can almost eliminate myself as the cause of the problem, I just installed the latest boinc on a brand new intel mac, and got the exactly same error. Is there some ports I need to open for boinc to work correctly??

Yeah I think the issue is serverside. And furthermore it seems there\'s an issue with some missing files in the BOINC CVS - will have a look.
