Your personal background.
My Name is Andy Koenigsdorf, I\'m german and live in the town Recklinghausen (Germany). Edit: moved to Hildesheim dec. 2006
Born here in 1970, went to Italy in 1989 for a holiday, but found work and stayed there till 1994. Our army wanted me...
After that I stayed in Germany working for several companies in the IT, including IBM.
At the moment I\'m using three computers for crunching, but only 2 of them 24/7 and only on for BURP.
1. AMD 64 3000+, 1GB RAM (SETI@home, CDPN@home, BURP) running 24/7
2. AMD XP 2100+, 512MB RAM (SETI@home, CDPN@home) running 24/7
3. Intel P4 3.2GHz HT, 1GB RAM (SETI@home, Predictor@home) running \"when it\'s on\"
Edit: This changed, too. Now running only the first computer only attached to burp occasionally
Your opinions about BURP
Q: Why do you run BURP?
A: I\'ve always been interested in 3D graphics, from creating objects/models to texturing, lightning, rendering, animating and finally making movies. Bad luck I\'m lack of talent making good models. ;-)
Q: What are your views about the project?
A: I think BURP is what many (semi-) amateur 3D designer need. To create a sophisticated animation is needed manpower, but to render the movie there can\'t be enough processing power. As I like to view animated movies I like to spend cpu time to create them.
Q: Any suggestions?
A: Not at this time. Keep up the good work!
